Five Good Reasons to Work from Home
    By Amanda Compton

Working from home is now commonplace. People from all over are now choosing to work from home for various reasons. Moms, Dads, Grandparents, and college students are working from home and earning a decent living in every corner of the world.

There are many benefits and some drawbacks to working from home. It all depends on what kind of person you are as to whether or not working from home is for you. Let’s explore five good reasons to work from home to see if working from home is for you.

1.) You need additional income. Maybe you are a stay at home mom and you need to contribute a few extra dollars per month to your family. Since income is a necessity, this is a good reason to work from home.

2.) You are a self-motivated person. Working from home requires you to be self-motivated. Some people simply cannot do this. Working from home also requires that you can learn many tasks without the instruction of a teacher. If you are a self-motivated person then this is a good reason to work from home.

3.) Family. Your family is the most important thing to you and working from home allows you to be at home with your family all hours of the day. Working from home allows you to witness firsts, spend more time with your family, and be where you need to be. If family is important to you as it is to me, then this is a good reason to work from home.

4.) Freedom. You get the freedom to do what you really want. You are your own boss, you make your own rules, and you choose how much you want to do during your work day. Wanting freedom from bosses and rules is a good reason to work from home.

5.) Costs. Working from home costs less than working outside the home. When you work from home you don’t need expensive clothes, you don’t have to spend money on gas for your vehicle, and you don’t have to pay for childcare.

As you can tell working from home has its benefits and there are some very good reasons as to why many of us choose to work from home. In the end it all depends upon what kind of person you are, what is important to you, and what you want out of life.

Thinking about Ezines? Very Interesting Article

An excellent way to promote your new business is via ezines, ezines are electronic newsletters…. This is an interesting article explaining a little bit about it.

Attract New Subscribers With Magnetic Ads
    By Alexandria K. Brown

One of the most effective methods of advertising your e-zine is placing ads in OTHER e-zines!

There are many reasons why, but the top three are:

    1. you’re advertising to other readers whom you know are already interested in e-zines
    2. you can finely target other e-zines whose readers would likely be interested in YOUR topic
    3. it’s easy and inexpensive

First, you’ll need to get your ads ripe and ready. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to write them — it should only take you about 10 minutes.

    1. Gimme the “meat.” What do you have to offer?

No one’s going to give a hoot about your e-zine unless you tell them what they’ll GET out of it.

      1. What does your e-zine show, teach, or share with your reader?

Write them down now. For example, my other e-zine, “Publish for Profits,” tells how to publish and promote an effective e-mail newsletter..

      2. NOW, translate those features into benefits.

      3. By showing my readers how to publish and promote an effective newsletter, “Publish for Profits” helps them attract new clients/customers and increase sales. THAT’s what they really care about! Get your result down to one or two sentences. You now have the “body” of your ad.

    2. Write your headline.

Often times your ad will be stuck in the middle of many others. Use your headline to make YOURS stand out. Here’s where you can really grab the reader, effectively saying, “Hey, look over here!”

Your headline copy should attract attention and can either sum up your offer or highlight a benefit of your e-zine.

Also, play with CAPS and punctuation to help your headline stand out. You can put your entire headline in ALL CAPS, just capitalize special words, or use asterisks (***) or other punctuation to grab attention.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Don’t overdo it! If you pump your entire ad full of caps and asterisks and exclamation points, it will lose credibility quickly. Grab your readers’ attention, but don’t cram your message down their throats.

    3. Incorporate some “power words.”

These are words that give your ad ZING and get attention quickly. Here are 16 to get you started. See if any of these apply to YOUR e-zine offer, and use them as appropriate in both your headline and body copy.

“you, free, money, profit, secret, easy, yes, save, guarantee, today, first, how to, new, now, discover, learn”

    4. Add your “call to action.”

All good ads give a call to action. Never make your reader have to assume what to do next!

YOUR call to action is obviously to ask the readers to sign up for your e-zine. Do this in your last line or two.

Example: ‘Sign up NOW at http://www….com or by sending an e-mail to subscribe@….com.’

    5. Massage your result into the two sizes of ads you’ll need.

There are generally two ad sizes you’ll need for an effective e-zine ad campaign.

      1. THE “CLASSIFIED” AD: Most e-zines offer spots for 5-line ads, so this is a great size to have ready-to-go. Remember to use all three components: headline, body, and call to action.

      2. THE “SPONSOR” AD: If you choose to be a “sponsor” of another e-zine, you’ll have room for a longer ad. These are usually at the top of the issue and allow for at least 10 lines.

To write your sponsor ad, just take your classified ad and build onto it. Give us more benefits and details. Again, remember to use all three components: headline, body, and call to action.

    6. Remember — your words are selling your ezine!

Everyone’s finally catching on to the fact that publishing an e-zine is an incredibly effective self-promotional tool. That means you have plenty of competition, and that you’ll have to work to SELL your e-zine to prospects. We’re all so overwhelmed with information these days, that it’s not enough to just offer us something FREE — you need to show us how it will be worth our time!

Take your time to craft a truly COMPELLING ad for your e-zine. It will be well worth it.

A Screensaver Diaster — Be Warned!

My sister in law called me the other day with some problems she was having with her computer…. I have always known she was bad about installing things such as screensavers and toolbars on her desktop without really thinking of the consequences.. so I was curious to see what was going on… Well when I got there, it was just as I suspected. Not only did she install some gone with the wind screen savers but my other brother in law (who was visiting) installed many “toolbars” and other other spyware due to some pictures he was downloading. He loves trucks and cars, so he downloads every car and truck picture you can imagine. Well folks, if it has an .exe at the end of the file, it probably is going to execute something on your computer. If you are looking to get a picture, do not download an .exe! Also be leary of free screensavers, which often times contain adware and spyware, so please be careful. I know some of these people who spread screensavers with toolbars, etc make good money, but save yourself some trouble, if you want to work from home, take a look at any of the places we have listed to the left and right of the posts, all are quality ebooks that will help you on your way to independence at home. Take a look, you won’t regret it… but anyway, on to my story..I had to clean out her computer and told her NEVER to download a screensaver unless she had to pay for it somehow, even then, she should run it through her virus software… Keep your virus software updated people! It will save you in the long run. Have a wonderful day!

    spring

I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather…. i guess we will have a little bit of both, cold and warm weather.. but it should be getting warmer for the most part. If it would only stay like this and not get any warmer. Here is an article that I found that kind of sums up the beauty of spring… its very cool.Enjoying the Beauty of the Spring SeasonBy Mike FreemenThe spring of the year is a favorite season for many people, and it is certainly easy to understand why this is so. The spring is when the earth comes back to life after a long cold winter, and it is in the spring when the first flowers begin to bloom and the green world begins to return after its winter slumber. The power of spring and its regenerative effects are evidenced by the fact that every major religion includes a major holiday in the spring season. From Passover to Easter, it seems that every culture marks spring with a celebration of renewal and new life. It is easy to understand how in times past ancient cultures were overjoyed by the power of spring and the beauty of new life. The spring is an important season for many hobbies, including of course gardening. For the gardener, the spring is one of the most pleasant times in the garden. The spring is the time when the bulbs that were carefully planted in the fall begin to grow and blossom, and the spring is when the first seedlings are carefully nestled in the garden. There is no doubt that the spring is one of the most beautiful, and most colorful, of all seasons for the gardener. The spring is also a favorite time for home improvement projects that could not go forward while the weather was too cold. Whether it is a small project like installing new downspouts or a large project like building a new garage or storage shed, the spring is one of the best times to work at improving the value and livability of the home. In the spring, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, and the homeowner has plenty of daylight in which to work. It is no wonder that the spring season is one of the busiest for home improvement stores and warehouses. For the outdoor sports enthusiast, there is nothing like the coming of the spring season. For the fisherman, the coming of spring means the first day of trout season. For the avid hiker, spring means that those favorite trails are no longer impassable due to snow, and for the horseback rider spring means being able to take a ride without first bundling up. And of course spring means the opening of baseball season, a joy for spectators and players alike. For more information on spring go to http://www.springgo.com.Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Mike_Freemenhttp://EzineArticles.com/?Enjoying-the-Beauty-of-the-Spring-Season&id=150203

For those of you who Like Cars — Engine Screensavers!

Wow, I didn’t think I’d ever find this… my brother in law is a car and truck lover, he loves everything to do with cars, whether it be engines, transmissions, hoods, or whatever, he likes it. Anyway, here is an awesome video for all you car and truck lovers out there.. its basciallly an engine screen saver, very cool! Its about 4 minutes long so you probably don’t need to watch all of it.

    Your Home Office

Working from home is not a new idea…. there have been opportunites that you could find in the newspaper for eons.. I remember back in the early 90’s I ordered a work from home opportunity that I had found in the newspaper. It was basically teaching you how to start a home typing business. It gave a list of businesses for whom you could get “type from home” work.. Of course you had to sell them the idea. It came in a cheap book format, similiar to something you could have done at kinkos at the time.. I’m not even sure they are still in business. I’ve always been interested in work at home opportunities, even then and didn’t realize it. Sometimes you can get lucky and find work at home opportunties through an employment agency… or you could buy an ebook to guide you. Keep in mind there is a difference between a work from “job” and a work from home “business”. Just like in the real world, there is a huge difference in a job and a business. Always keep that in mind. It’s the whole game of trading in hours for money…. Don’t discredit some excellent ebooks on the subject… I’ve learned a great deal from reading the many work at home ebooks…. You can always gleam something from them especially if you keep an open mind…

    What Exactly are Screensavers?

I found a little article I thought everyone would like explaining what screensavers are…. its definitely worth a read. Be sure to check out our sponsors, they have a lot to say and you can gleam a lot of good information from their websites…

What Exactly are Screensavers? - part I
    By David Schomberg

After reading this good article you will know some important information about screensavers and their history. You will find out how screensavers are different from other applications and what advantages you’ll have if you use them. If you have a laptop or a notebook you can also find useful things.

I wonder if you have ever asked about what screensavers are in fact. Because i did i made a little research and i am willing to share with you what i learned. If you split the word “screensavers” in to separate words it will result the words “screen” and “savers”. So screensavers are some kind of applications that “saves your computer”. So a screensaver can only mean something good for your computer. But the real question is what does exactly means? You must ask yourself if it will harm your screen or it will help it. You can find all this just by knowing the definition of the screensavers.

If you are curious and you search the net you will find a many definitions. But i will try to list the best of them in this article.

    1. So a screensaver is some kind of a moving picture that appears on your screen if you haven’t moved your mouse or didn’t press any key for a period of time that you can set. Screensavers prevent screen damage that is caused when the same areas of light and dark are displayed for long periods of time.

    2. A screensaver is a program that activates after a certain amount of time has passed with no keyboard or mouse activity and blanks the screen or display moving various objects across the screen; these are used to prevent your screen from getting “burn in”. So i think that you are begriming to understand.

    3. You can also call it an animated picture that you can program trough the display control panel. It will appear on the screen of your computer after a time that you can program has elapsed. The most important task of the screen saver is to reduce wear and the CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) that can receive damage if the same window is left for a long period of time.

So in conclusion after understanding the definitions of the screensavers you should understand the benefits and try to use one on your computer. You can find some tips about using screensavers in the second part of this article.
